Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Ganderbal and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson said Saturday.
He said during routine checking at Puttarmulla Safapora near Daller Mode, Manasbal, police intercepted and apprehended one Salim Ahmad Bhat of Kondbal Safapora after his personal search, yielded approximately four grams of heroin-like substance and 20 grams of cannabis-like substance
During checking at Nagpow, Tulmullah, police arrested Aubaid Ahmad Dar @ Ubi of Nowpora, Tulmullah after 11.10 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
At Turkpora Zachaldara in Kupwara, police arrested one Dawood Ahmad Dar of Herpora Handwara after Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus capsules were recovered from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at respective police stations for investigation, police said
