Jammu: Surinder Choudhary on Saturday reviewed several ongoing development works in Jammu and conducted surprise inspections of key government offices to assess project implementation and administrative functioning.

During his visit to Bagh-e-Bahu, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of the Dak Bungalow and reviewed the pace and quality of work at the site.

He directed the concerned officials to expedite the project while ensuring adherence to prescribed quality standards so that the facility is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Later, Choudhary conducted surprise inspections of the offices of the Chief Engineer, PMGSY Jammu, and the Chief Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department (M&HED), Jammu.

During the inspections, he reviewed staff attendance, office functioning and the status of ongoing projects being executed by the departments.

Emphasising transparency, accountability and efficiency in public service delivery, the Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to maintain punctuality and ensure timely completion of developmental projects.

He said quality infrastructure and efficient governance remain key priorities of the government and warned that delays in project execution would be viewed seriously.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening public infrastructure and ensuring time-bound completion of development projects for the benefit of the people.
