Srinagar: Farooq Abdullah on Friday said the continued trust and support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir remain the driving force behind the National Conference-led government.

Farooq Abdullah made the remarks while interacting with members of the public and individual delegations who called on him at his Gupkar residence to extend Eid-ul-Azha greetings for the third consecutive day.

He said the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference draws its strength from the people and has deep roots across Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated the party’s commitment to serving the people and addressing their aspirations with sincerity and dedication.

On the occasion, Abdullah also urged people to pray for lasting peace, harmony and prosperity in the Muslim world and across the globe. He stressed the importance of unity, compassion and collective efforts to promote peace and brotherhood.

Several delegations and individuals conveyed Eid greetings to the NC president and wished peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
