Srinagar: More than 60 livestock animals were killed in a lightning strike in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Thursday.
The lightning struck Lanidagen in the Pahalgam area on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday during heavy rain and thunderstorms, they said.
More than 69 livestock animals, including sheep and goats, perished in the incident.
