Illegal brick kiln demolished in Beerwah area of Budgam

Budgam: The District Administration Budgam on Wednesday demolished an illegal brick kiln in the Mulshulla area of Tehsil Beerwah for operating without authorisation and in violation of environmental and land-use regulations.

Officials said the demolition drive was carried out under relevant legal provisions under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Beerwah.

The operation was conducted in the presence of the Tehsildar Beerwah, SHO Beerwah and other concerned officers.

Authorities said the action was part of an ongoing drive against unauthorised brick kiln operations in the district.

Officials further informed that a similar demolition drive had also been conducted in the Chadoora area of Budgam on May 19 as part of measures aimed at curbing illegal brick kiln activities.
