Srinagar: Police have arrested four drug peddlers in Anantnag, Budgam and Handwara in separate actions and recovered contraband and psychotropic substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that in Anantnag, one Gulamh Nabi Raina of Frimoo Gadol, Ahlan Kokernag. Was arrested at Khrety, Larnoo after his personal search yielded six sticks of charas-like substance wrapped in corn husk, weighing approximately 96 grams.
In Budgam, police arrested two drug peddlers at Rawalpora after 27 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from them.
In Handwara, at Gund Khuru, police arrested Sahil Manzoor Dar of Maratgam Handwara after his personal search led to recovery of Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus contraband substance from his possession, exposing his involvement in illegal narcotics trafficking.
All the accused persons have been arrested and accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigation.
