Emphasising adherence to quality standards, he directed the concerned authorities to ensure the use of proper construction material, including cement and iron, and to expedite the work so that the bridge is dedicated to the public at the earliest. He said the project will significantly enhance connectivity and ease movement for residents.

The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the under-construction Health Care Centre at Chitragam. Stressing the need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, he directed officials to complete ground levelling works promptly and initiate construction without delay. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring efficient delivery of essential healthcare services.

“This government is focused on accelerated development and seamless service delivery to the public,” he said.

Reviewing other ongoing road and bridge projects in the district, he instructed officials to maintain efficiency, transparency and quality in execution to meet public expectations and ensure balanced development.

Highlighting labour welfare, the Deputy Chief Minister called for organising awareness-cum-registration camps to facilitate the issuance of labour cards, enabling workers to avail benefits under various government schemes. He also directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Shopian, to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during project execution.

He further reviewed mining operations in the district and instructed officials to ensure an uninterrupted supply of construction material while strictly following mining regulations.

The Deputy Chief Minister also emphasised the involvement of local representatives in project implementation to ensure smooth execution on the ground.

Earlier, he visited the residence of MLA Zainapora Showkat Hussain Ganai at Chitragam to offer condolences on the demise of his mother, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family.
