JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, today, conducted inspections of the New Assembly Complex and other important ongoing infrastructure works in Jammu.

During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister called for speedy and quality work completion of the New Assembly Complex and the timely execution of development projects and strengthening public infrastructure in Jammu.

Taking stock of the pace and quality of construction, he directed the concerned officials to ensure adherence to set deadlines and high construction standards, given the significance of the Assembly Complex. He also inspected the ongoing slab-laying work over the nallah at Mecca Chowk, Bathindi (upstream side).

He said that the project is aimed at improving local connectivity and ensuring safer movement for residents of the area.

He reviewed the progress on the ground and emphasised the need to maintain quality standards while expediting the work to minimise inconvenience to the public.

Reiterating the Government’s focus on development, the Deputy Chief Minister said that strengthening infrastructure and addressing public needs remain top priorities, and all executing agencies must work with dedication and accountability to deliver results efficiently.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also conducted surprise inspections at the Chief Engineer’s Office, PWD Jammu, as well as the offices of the Deputy Labour Commissioner and Assistant Labour Commissioner Jammu.

Reviewed functioning, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed accountability and directed officials to ensure efficient service delivery and responsiveness to public grievances.

Senior officers of several departments were also present.
