Srinagar: A Mobile Passport Seva Camp was successfully conducted at Shopian on April 23–24, 2026, under the Passport Har-Dwar initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, aimed at making passport services more accessible, efficient and citizen-centric.
The camp was organised by the Regional Passport Office Srinagar with active support from the district administration. A dedicated team ensured smooth and seamless processing of applications during the two-day programme.
Applicants expressed satisfaction with the services provided during the camp and appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of External Affairs, Regional Passport Office Srinagar and the district administration in facilitating convenient access to passport services.
B. S. Rawat, Regional Passport Officer, Srinagar, stated that the initiative reflects the commitment of the Government to bring essential services closer to citizens and enhance service delivery in remote areas. He added that such outreach camps will continue to be organised to improve accessibility and ensure timely service to applicants.
The initiative helped reduce the need for long-distance travel and strengthened doorstep delivery of services, in line with the Government’s focus on citizen-centric governance.
