Sakeena Itoo condoles death of GCW Jammu student in Udhampur accident

SRINAGAR: Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo on Thursday expressed grief over the death of a college student in a road accident near Udhampur.

The deceased has been identified as Anjali Choudhary, a fourth-semester student of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

According to officials, the accident occurred when Anjali, along with other students, was travelling to Patnitop for a picnic.

In a condolence message, Sakeena Itoo said she was deeply saddened by the untimely demise of the student and described the incident as tragic and heartbreaking.

“I am deeply saddened to learn about the tragic demise of Anjali Choudhary, a bright young student of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, who lost her life in an unfortunate road accident near Udhampur while travelling with fellow students to Patnitop,” the minister said.

She conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family, friends and the college fraternity and directed the concerned authorities to provide all possible assistance to the grieving family.

“My heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends and the entire college fraternity. I have directed the concerned authorities to provide all necessary assistance to the bereaved family. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” she added.
