Highlighting the importance of balanced distribution, Satish Sharma called for rationalisation of petroleum allocation to ensure equitable availability across all regions. He stressed that no area should face scarcity and that supply must be aligned with actual demand patterns to avoid shortages or regional imbalances.

The Minister also made it clear that there will be zero tolerance for hoarding, cautioning that strict action will be taken against any malpractice that disrupts fair supply.

The Minister instructed the officials to establish a robust monitoring system and maintain regular oversight to address any emerging challenges promptly. Reiterating the government’s commitment, he said that ensuring seamless availability of essential commodities remains a top priority to safeguard public convenience.

Following the meeting, the Minister visited the plant site where he inspected the bottling process and reviewed on-ground operations. He also directed the authorities to upgrade facilities for the labour workforce at the plant, emphasizing the need for improved working conditions and welfare measures.

Senior officials from the concerned departments and representatives of oil companies were present during the meeting.
