Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday announced a series of organisational appointments aimed at strengthening the party structure across the Union Territory.
According to an official order issued by State General Secretary Mohd Anwar Khan, in consultation with BJP J&K president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Paul Sharma and BJP General Secretary (Organisation) J&K-UT Ashok Kaul, Danish Bhat has been appointed as State Spokesperson of the party in Jammu and Kashmir.
Khalid Rathore has been appointed as State Co-Convenor of the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) wing, while Manzoor Ahmad Ganie has been named State Co-Convenor of the Panchayati Raj Cell.
The party said the appointments take effect immediately and are part of its efforts to reinforce the organisational framework and strengthen outreach at the grassroots level.
In a statement, the BJP said the new office bearers are expected to play an important role in furthering the party’s agenda of inclusive development, effective governance and strengthening democratic institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
