Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan, in her message, highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing the growing challenge of substance abuse among youth.

“The Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan is a significant step towards creating awareness and empowering young minds to make informed and responsible life choices. Educational institutions must play a proactive role in building a drug-free society,” she said.

Dean and Head, School of Law, KU, Prof. Shahnaz, highlighted the role of academic institutions in shaping socially responsible citizens and noted that such initiatives encourage students to engage with pressing societal issues beyond classrooms.

Dean DSW KU, Prof. Parvez Ahmad, also emphasized the importance of sustained awareness campaigns within campuses, noting that active student participation is key to building a conscious and drug-free academic environment.

As part of the programme, students participated in an awareness rally across the campus, spreading messages on the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and collective responsibility in combating substance abuse. Faculty from the School of Law and officials from DSW were also present on the occasion.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, reflecting a shared commitment towards building a healthier and more aware society.
