Rana visits Surankote, consoles families of Kuwait accident victims

SURANKOTE: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today visited Bachaianwali village in Surankote and offered expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims of the recent tragic Kuwait accident.

The Minister met the bereaved families and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the untimely and tragic demise of their loved ones.

It is pertinent to mention that six men from Rajouri and Poonch districts had lost their lives in an unfortunate road accident in Kuwait.

Standing in solidarity with them in this hour of grief, the Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and courage to the families to bear this irreparable loss. He said that every possible effort would be made to provide immediate relief and extend all necessary assistance to the affected families. He assured them that the government is committed to support them during this toughest period.

Rana has also urged the Ministry for External Affairs to expedite all necessary legal and procedural formalities to ensure the early repatriation of the mortal remains of the accident victims. He said that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities to ensure swift action in this regard.
