Orchestrated with professional precision across the UT, the initiative utilized sports and community mobilization to promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle, successfully engaging thousands of students and commoners in a unified mission to reclaim the potential of the youth.

The first day was defined by high energy awareness rallies and Padyatras that saw a massive groundswell of support in every corner of the region.

In Samba, a powerful awareness rally saw over 850 students and 115 employees march from Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium to spread the message of a drug-free India, while in Kishtwar, a grand Padyatra commenced from the historic Char Chinar Chowgan, culminating at the DC Office as a symbol of collective resolve.

Similarly, in Doda, a high-energy Padyatra transformed the streets into a vibrant wave of awareness, and in Kulgam, the campaign was bolstered by a spirited awareness march from the Mini Secretariat to DPL Kulgam.

In Ramban, large-scale rallies were flagged off across multiple locations, including DPL Ramban and Banihal, ensuring the campaign’s reach extended through every subdivision.

Beyond the rallies, the Directorate focused on institutional commitment through formal pledge ceremonies and localized outreach.

The Directorate shall be organizing sports activities pertaining to the campaign across the UT to reinforce physical discipline as a barrier to addiction. In Baramulla, the campaign witnessed an overwhelming district wide sweep across all schools in zones like Sopore, Kunzer, and Pattan, where morning assemblies were dedicated to the “Nasha Mukt” oath.

In Kathua, students and staff at GHSS Marheen led a solemn pledge ceremony, while in Kupwara, a series of sensitization drives reinforced the “Choose Life, Not Drugs” message.

In the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, the Directorate launched a comprehensive schedule of sports competitions and interactive sessions, highlighting physical discipline as the ultimate barrier against harmful influences and substance abuse. Highlighting the success of the launch, the Director General of Youth Services and Sports, Anuradha Gupta, lauded the tireless dedication of the field staff who remained on the ground throughout the day to ensure the successful rollout of these diverse activities. She stated that their unmatched commitment to organizing these massive events at the grassroots level is the true driving force behind the mission’s success.

The DG emphasized that by dedicating their efforts to the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, the field staff has ensured the message of a drug free J&K resonates in every playground and institution. As the 100-day journey continues, the Directorate remains committed to sustaining this momentum, paving the way for a safe and progressive environment for generations to come.
