Sopore: An eight-year-old girl was mauled to death by a stray dog in the Seloo area of Sopore in north Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
According to officials, the girl had gone to an agricultural field when she was attacked by a stray dog, leaving her critically injured.
She was shifted to the hospital for treatment, but succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased was identified as the daughter of Adnan Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Seloo.
Police have initiated proceedings in the matter.
