3 drug peddlers held in Sopore

Srinagar: Police have apprehended three drug peddlers in two separate incidents in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A police spokesperson informed that Qamar Ali, a resident of Chanderkote Ramban, was arrested at Hadipora, Rafiabad, after poppy straw-like substance was recovered from his possession.

At Tragpora–Rohama Road, two persons — Mursaleen Shafi, and Ali Mohammad Yatoo, both residents of Chijhama Rafiabad – were arrested after cannabis-like substance was recovered from them.

Cases under relevant sections of the NDPS Act have been registered at respective police stations for investigation, spokesperson said.
