During the meeting, the officials reviewed the ground-level status of ongoing construction works and directed officers to personally monitor and verify development works in their respective institutions.

Special emphasis was laid on ensuring the availability of functional washrooms and safe drinking water facilities in all schools.

The officials said these facilities were essential for providing students with a safe and dignified environment.

Earlier, the Director conducted a virtual inspection of schools located in far-flung areas of the Valley from his office chamber in the presence of the Special Secretary.

During the interaction, the officials assessed classroom teaching and the learning levels of students.

Naseer Ahmad Wani stressed the importance of regular inspections by Zonal Education Officers to improve the teaching-learning process.

He said he would personally visit different zones to review teaching practices and learning standards, particularly in lower classes.

The Director said that improving classroom practices and learning outcomes in remote schools remains a priority for the department.

Speaking during the meeting, Special Secretary G.R. Mir stressed the need for close supervision and accountability at every level.

He called for equal attention to both infrastructure development and academic functioning in schools.

The meeting concluded with directions to field officers to remain actively engaged in monitoring institutions and ensuring that both infrastructure and classroom teaching meet the required standards across Kashmir.
