Srinagar: Police in Budgam arrested a drug peddler in the Chadoora area and recovered a “substantial quantity” of contraband substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that, acting on credible information, a saw mill belonging to Mohammad Hashim Raina of Hasipora Chadoora in the village Kaisarmullah was raided and approximately 9.9 Kgs of cannabis-like substance was recovered from it.
The accused was arrested on the spot, and a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Chadoora for further investigation.
