In a closely fought final, Gurpreet Singh gave Jammu North the lead in the 39th minute by converting a penalty corner. JKP equalised through Prabhjot Singh, who also converted a penalty corner.

However, Sukhchinder Singh scored the decisive field goal in the 54th minute to hand Jammu North an unassailable 2-1 lead and the title.

The match was officiated by umpires Sunil Gupta and Sushil Kumar. Chanveer Singh served as scoring judge, while Gargi was the timing judge. Jaspreet Singh acted as technical officer and Sahil Kumar was the reserve umpire.

Speaking on the occasion, Satish Sharma said hockey should receive greater emphasis in policymaking as it is the national game. He congratulated both teams and appreciated the efforts of Rajeev Sharma for promoting the sport.

Nuzhat Gul praised the work of Hockey J&K under Rajeev Sharma’s patronage and assured support for training camps in Jammu and Kashmir.

Welcoming the guests, Taran Singh said the organisation had been working to revive hockey in Jammu and Kashmir since May 2025 by reactivating clubs and involving veteran players.
