Scheduled power shutdowns announced across Kashmir

Srinagar, March 18: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas in the Valley to facilitate maintenance and upgrade works.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 kV GIS Tengpora–KP Bagh line will affect power supply to Jawahar Nagar, Rajbagh, Mehjoor Nagar, Soiteng, KP Bagh and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 24 and 28, 2026.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 132 kV D/C Delina–Amargarh Transmission Line (Circuit-I) will impact areas including Panzipora, Tarzoo, Hygam, Shair Colony, Arampora, Mahrajpora, Bugoo, Police Station, ADC Watlab, Hathlangoo, Warpora, Dooru, Shiva, Tujjar, Sharief, Shrian, Nowpora, Mazbugh, Reban, Achabal, Doabgah, Ferozpora, Panzulla, Shutloo, Chakloo, Ladoora, Nadihal, Gurseer, Pethseer, PHE, Fruit Mandi, LIS, Dangiwachi, Hachipora and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on March 24, 2026.

In addition, the shutdown of the 132 kV D/C Delina–Amargarh Transmission Line (Circuit-II) will affect Amargarh, Baramulla, Watergam and nearby areas from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on March 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanpoh–Ashajipora–Malaknag Double Circuit line will disrupt power supply to Ashajipora, Rohu, Malaknag, Shirpora and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 23 and 25, 2026.

Likewise, the shutdown of the 33 kV Achabal–Cherpora Tapline will affect Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 22 and 24, 2026.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and make alternative arrangements during the shutdown period.
