SRINAGAR: Several ministers today extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, highlighting the spiritual significance of the sacred night and urging people to pray for peace, harmony and prosperity.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, said that Shab-e-Qadr marks the night when Almighty Allah revealed the Holy Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of mankind. She said the blessed night offers an opportunity to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings and called upon citizens to remember the less privileged and extend help to those in need, reflecting the true spirit of Ramadan.
Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar also greeted the people and emphasized that Shab-e-Qadr, described in the Holy Qur’an as “better than a thousand months,” is a night of immense spiritual reflection. He urged people to offer prayers for peace, brotherhood and prosperity while observing the occasion with devotion and compassion.
Minister for FCS&CA, IT, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Science and Technology, Satish Sharma said that the sacred night holds immense spiritual importance for Muslims across the world. He noted that it is a time to seek forgiveness and divine mercy while reaffirming commitment to compassion, unity and service to humanity.
The ministers also prayed for peace, progress and well-being of the people and hoped that the holy occasion would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, harmony and communal unity across Jammu and Kashmir.
