Srinagar: The BSNL in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district launched an outreach programme on Friday to address concerns of the public sector company’s pensioners, officials said.
The officers, as part of the programme, visited the homes of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) pensioners in Ganderbal and to enquire about their welfare and understand their issues, they added.
A suitable space for establishing a sub-office of the Controller of Communication Accounts in Srinagar was identified, a BSNL spokesman said, adding that the office will be operational soon.
He added that an officer from the CCA office, Jammu, will visit Srinagar every week and will meet pensioners at a designated location provided by BSNL to address their grievances and provide necessary assistance until the Srinagar sub-office becomes operational.
