New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah visited the Embassy of Iran in New Delhi and signed the condolence book to express profound grief over the martyrdom of Syed Ali Khamenei, the Spiritual and Supreme Leader of Iran.
On the occasion, Dr Farooq conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the leadership and people of Iran on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was accompanied by Members of Parliament from the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Choudry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi.
During the visit, the delegation also met the Deputy Ambassador of Iran to India and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran in this moment of profound grief. They offered prayers for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved nation during this difficult time.
