Chairman DLSA Sgr reviews preparations for forthcoming National Lok Adalat

Srinagar: A meeting regarding the preparations for the forthcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on 14th March 2026 was convened today at the Conference Hall of District Court Complex Srinagar under the chairmanship of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)/Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar.

During the meeting, the Chairman reviewed the arrangements and preparations for the National Lok Adalat and stressed upon the Judicial officers to ensure identification and listing of the maximum number of eligible pending cases for their amicable settlement during the upcoming Lok Adalat. He emphasised that National Lok Adalat provides an effective platform for expeditious disposal of cases and helps in reducing pendency in courts while promoting amicable settlement of disputes.

The Judicial Officers were directed to make sincere efforts for identifying suitable cases and to encourage litigants to resolve their disputes through settlement before the Lok Adalat.

The meeting was attended by Judicial Officers posted at District Court Complex Srinagar including officials of District Legal Services Authority Srinagar.

The meeting concluded with a resolve to make the forthcoming National Lok Adalat a success through coordinated efforts.
