Power Shutdown in Several Gbl areas on March 7, 11, 14, 24 and 28

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Ganderbal district during March to facilitate maintenance works on various 33 kV power lines.

According to KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 kV Badampora–Wangipora Tapline and 33 kV Badampora–Army Hakbara line will affect power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyar, Hakbara, Chandergeer and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 14 and March 28, 2026.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Badampora–Kurhama Dab line and 33 kV Badampora–Lar Tulmulla line will disrupt electricity supply to Kurhama, Youngoora, Baroosa, Old Dab, Checki Baba, Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET, Safapora, Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 11 and March 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Kangan–Surfraw line will affect power supply to Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on March 7, 2026.

KPDCL has advised residents of the affected areas to take necessary precautions during the shutdown period.
