BJP MLA says people from Kashmir valley encroaching upon land in Jammu, triggers uproar in House

Jammu: BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa on Tuesday said that he would retract his words if he had made remarks against any community.

As Congress legislators Irfan Hafiz Lone and Iftikhar Ahmad continued their protests, the BJP legislator said that he would withdraw his remarks if they were found to be against any community.

“If I have made such remarks, I will take them back,” he said, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

NC and PDP members also supported the Congress legislators’ demand for an apology from Randhawa to Kashmiris.

The Speaker assured the House that he would check the records and expunge the remarks if it was found that Randhawa had made them—(KNO)
