Mahashivratri: DC Bandipora joins Kashmiri Pandit community in celebrations

BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, on Sunday extended warm greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri (Herath) and joined them in the festive celebrations.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with members of the community and enquired about their well-being and the arrangements made for the smooth observance of the festival.

Extending her heartfelt wishes, the DC expressed hope that the sacred occasion would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, mutual respect, and brotherhood among all sections of society in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the District Administration Bandipora had made all necessary arrangements well in advance to facilitate devotees and ensure that the festival was observed in a peaceful and orderly manner across the district.

Members of the Kashmiri Pandit community expressed their gratitude to the district administration for its proactive outreach and efforts in ensuring adequate arrangements and fostering an atmosphere of inclusiveness and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
