Dr Farooq asks admin to ensure adequate arrangements for Shab-e-Barat

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sunday asked J&K administration to ensure adequate and comprehensive arrangements at all major shrines across Jammu and Kashmir in view of the upcoming auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

Dr. Farooq emphasised that Shab-e-Barat holds immense religious significance for the Muslims across the region with large numbers of devotees expected to visit shrines and mosques to offer prayers. He stressed the need for proper sanitation, uninterrupted power and water supply, traffic management and medical facilities to facilitate smooth and safe observance of the blessed night.

He expressed hope that the administration would act proactively and coordinate closely with local authorities and shrine management committees to avoid any inconvenience to the public.
