Traffic restored on Jammu-Srinagar highway

Srinagar: Traffic on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway is moving smoothly from both sides on Friday, with light motor vehicles and heavy motor vehicles allowed to ply, officials said.

Authorities said passenger vehicles are plying normally on both sides, while heavy motor vehicles from the Qazigund side are continuing their movement towards Jammu. Traffic flow remains smooth along most stretches of the highway.

However, officials cautioned that road conditions are slippery in some places due to prevailing weather, and motorists have been advised to drive slowly and cautiously to avoid accidents.

Meanwhile, the Mughal Road continues to remain closed for vehicular traffic, officials added. (KNT)
