SRINAGAR, JULY 24: Director Agriculture Kashmir Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today chaired a meeting with the officers of the department to discuss changing weather scenario in Kashmir division and its effects on the agriculture production.

“Amidst global change in weather dynamics, agriculture has to be adopted on modern and scientific lines and farmers must acclimatize themselves with the change,” the Director said.

He impressed upon the concerned that amid fluctuating weather the officers and crop experts must visit the fields and advise farmers with respect to different preventive measures and modifications in the cultural practices.

The Director Agriculture called upon the officers to adopt a proactive approach in reaching out to farmers to ensure speedy deliverance of technical guidance.

He also called for fixing responsibilities to avoid delay in the execution of different schemes and programmes to achieve the set targets.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture Extension/ Inputs, Project Coordinator Mushroom, Deputy Director Law Enforcement, Deputy Director Agriculture Central, and Plant Protection Officer Kashmir.
