SRINAGAR: Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar celebrated the 77th Republic Day with solemnity and patriotic fervour at its main campus.
The main function was held at the GMC Srinagar campus, where the National Flag was unfurled by the Principal/Dean, GMC Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The ceremony was conducted in accordance with established protocols and reflected the spirit of unity, national pride, and constitutional values.
On the occasion, the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Heads of Departments, Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendents, Personnel Officers, Chief Accounts Officer, faculty members, paramedical staff, technical staff, ministerial staff, administrative staff, and other employees of GMC Srinagar were present, marking the collective participation of all cadres of the institution.
Meanwhile, all Medical Superintendents of the Associated Hospitals of GMC Srinagar unfurled the National Flag at their respective hospital premises, where similar Republic Day functions were organized, ensuring uniform observance of the national celebration across all associated institutions.
The programme concluded with a pledge to uphold the values of the Constitution and to continue working with integrity, professionalism, and compassion in the service of humanity.
