Srinagar: A man was convicted for five year imprisonment in an NDPS case in Ganderbal district, police informed Wednesday.
It said the Sessions Court Ganderbal convicted Abdul Gani Sheikh, son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh, resident of Wanihama-Bala Nagbal, Ganderbal, in a case under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act.
The court sentenced the convicted accused to five years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 25,000 underscoring the seriousness of offences related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, police said.
