Javid Dar assesses development issues, assures time-bound action

JAMMU: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today met several delegations and individuals at the Civil Secretariat Jammu to assess and address issues related to development works and service matters.

Various delegations from Jammu, Udhampur and various districts of Kashmir highlighted concerns regarding rural infrastructure, road connectivity, irrigation facilities, drinking water supply, implementation of Panchayati Raj schemes, employment-related issues and pending development projects.

The Minister issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments to examine the issues for early resolution. He emphasized that the government is focused on accelerating development works at the grassroots level, especially in rural and remote areas to ensure equitable growth.

Javid Dar reaffirmed the government’s commitment towards strengthening the Panchayati Raj institutions, improving service delivery and ensuring effective implementation of development schemes under Agriculture Production and Rural Development sectors. He stressed that quality execution and timely completion of projects remain a key priority.

The Minister assured the delegations that their grievances would be addressed on a priority and time-bound basis, adding that the government is taking all necessary measures to fulfil the aspirations of the people and ensure sustainable development and prosperity across Jammu and Kashmir.
