Jammu: The results of class 10th and 12th examinations will be declared on Wednesday, January 14, Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced on Monday.

The minister said that both results will be released on the same day, bringing an end to the anxious wait of thousands of students and their families across Kashmir.

“The results of classes 10th and 12th will be declared simultaneously on January 14. All necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and transparent declaration process,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday issued two administrative orders assigning additional responsibilities to senior officials in the education sector.

As per the first order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, JKAS, Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, has been given the additional charge of Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

The order states that he will discharge the functions of the Chairman in addition to his existing duties on an interim basis until further orders.

In the second order, Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, JKAS, Director of School Education, Jammu, has been assigned the additional charge of Director of the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT).

He will hold the post along with his current responsibilities until further instructions, the order states.

J&K BOSE notifies date-sheets for class 11, 12

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (J&K BOSE) has notified the date-sheets for classes 11 and 12 Annual/ Regular, 2026 (Feb-Mar Session) of Jammu Division (summer zone), scheduling the examinations from February 28 and February 23, respectively.

In all, over 83,000 students of class 11 (43824) and 12 (39226) of the summer zone Jammu Division are taking the examinations.

As per the date- sheets, the examination will commence on February 23 for class 12 and February 28 for class 11

The examinations are scheduled to conclude on March 28 and April 2 for class 12 and class 11, respectively.

All students, parents and stakeholders are advised to visit the official website of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) at www.jkbose.nic.in. for detailed date sheets.
