Resolve demands of teachers by July 27 or face protests: Wani tells Govt

Srinagar: An important meeting of General council of Teachers Joint Action Committee was held at Srinagar under the chairmanship of President EJAC, Chairman Teachers Joint Action Committee Ab Qayoom Wani.

In the meeting the issues of SSA teachers, Head teachers and RMSA Masters were threadbare discussed and all the leaders in the meeting showed their anguish over the delay in implementing 7th pay commission in favour of SSA teachers, Head teachers and RMSA Masters and linking of their salaries with state sector.

All the leaders of Teachers Joint Action Committee thanked the state, provincial leaders, district Presidents, Zonal Presidents, volunteers and teachers in general for their mass participation in 17th July peaceful March organised by TJAC at Sheri Kashmir Park Srinagar and termed the protest a grand and historical one.

In the meeting all the leaders in one voice urged upon the government to issue orders regarding the implementation of 7th Pay Commission and linking of the salaries of SSA teachers, Head teachers and RMSA Masters to state sector.

President EJAC and Chairman Teachers Joint Action Committee Ab Qayoom Wani while addressing the meeting said that Teachers Joint Action Committee is committed in resolving these issues and we will not stop our genuine struggle until all the issues are resolved.

Keeping continuity in the struggle for the resolution of these human issues, Wani announced that if Govt. failed to resolve these genuine issues upto 27th of July 2018, All teachers, RET’s, Head Teachers, RMSA Masters will hold peaceful protest at their respective Zonal Headquarters on 28th of July under the banner of TJAC. The protest will be held in all the three regions of the state in 220 Zones at the same time.
