JAMMU: Apni Party’s Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir, has accused the Government that it has betrayed the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir by not doing anything tangible to create employment opportunities.

He said that the failure of the Government has given an unprecedented surge to unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the threadbare discussion, Mir impressed upon the leaders that they should intensify the public outreach programs and highlight the issues confronted by the people, as the National Conference has disappointed the people of both regions after forming the Government in Jammu and Kashmir.

He pointed out how the politics of hate, regionalism, and communalism were promoted in Jammu as well as Kashmir regions, putting the regional harmony among the communities to the stake.

“The peace that existed in Jammu and Kashmir for centuries was risked with the communal and regional hate politics by the parties, including the National Conference to gain votes, and return to the power,” he said, asking the party leaders to work for the public welfare and strengthening of the roots of communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir among the communities.

He stated that the Apni Party stands for unity, equality, communal harmony and development for all the people of Jammu and Kashmir without biased approach.

However, the NC has disappointed the people of Jammu and Kashmir as it could not do anything that it promised to the people during the last assembly elections.

The NC had promised one lakh jobs to the educated youth of J&K in the first six months of the government formation. However, the things are opposite, and the Govt is claiming that they cannot do anything, he added, citing how the NC played with the emotions of the people, and created division while the Govt remains ineffective on the ground.

He said that the promise of providing 200 units of free electricity, Rs 3000 old age pension, providing cooking gas cylinders, etc. But all of these promises continue to remain unfulfilled.

The incompetence of the Government has been exposed, and it has compromised the aspirations of the people, which has disappointed the people of both regions.

Meanwhile, he also highlighted the concern of the youth who would work in the mining sector at the local level, and the authorities would collect royalties from them. However, their work has been taken over by the big mining mafia that has increased the construction case of the material, leaving the common masses in financial constraints under the nose of the National Conference Government. But the Govt remains inactive, he raised serious concerns.

“The local youth, who could have been employed in mining at their respective areas, remain unemployed. Hence, unemployment continues to remain the main concern among the people in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added, informing that the Apni Party would continue to pull the government on its failures in the interest of the general masses.
