Srinagar: Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, an eminent J & K doctor, Public Health Expert, Medical Educator and writer, has been awarded the prestigious Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd), United Kingdom.
The honour was awarded to Dr Itoo after a rigorous assessment and selection process by the Academy. The award recognises Dr. Itoo’s significant achievements in medical education and is a mark of professional recognition for excellence and scholarly contributions in medical education.
He will be presented the Award of Scroll in a formal awards ceremony by the President of the Academy in the UK.
The Academy of Medical Educators (AoME) is a multiprofessional organisation for all those involved in medical education. AoME exists to provide leadership, promote standards and support all those involved in the academic discipline and practice of medical education.
Pertinently, Dr Itoo holds several other notable international distinctions. He is a distinguished Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health(FRSPH, UK), Fellow of the International Diabetes Federation(IDF Fellow, Belgium), Member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB, UK) and International Practitioner of the UK Faculty of Public Health (IPFPH, UK).
He is also a member of leading global medical organizations including the American College of Physicians(USA), and Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India(RSSDI).
