Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
At a checkpoint at Central University, Tullamulla Road, police intercepted a vehicle (JK01U-3866) with two persons on board. Identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, and Sameer Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Muzaffar Bhat, residents of Batwina, Ganderbal – both were arrested after heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession. Vehicle was also seized and a case registered for investigation, police said.
