Delegations call on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha

Jammu: Several delegations and individuals called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan here today and apprised him of various issues and initiatives.

Gaurav Gupta, BJP Spokesperson, called on the Lieutenant Governor and held discussions on matters of public importance.

In a separate meeting, Mohammad Iqbal Ahangar, Chairman, OBC Welfare Association, J&K Union Territory, and former President, Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag, met the Lieutenant Governor and discussed issues concerning the welfare of the Other Backward Classes in the Union Territory.

Harpreet Singh, Chairman, Jammu Sanskriti School, also called on the Lieutenant Governor and briefed him about the school’s upcoming exhibition focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He was accompanied by Rohini Aima, Principal and Vice Chairperson of the school, along with Ms Meena Kumari and Pooja Wazir, Coordinators of the school.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu, led by its President Advocate K. Nirmal Kotwal, also met the Lieutenant Governor. The delegation raised issues pertaining to the Jammu and Kashmir Tenancy Act, 2025, shifting of traffic courts, establishment of a Lawyers’ Colony at Jammu, and other welfare-related concerns of the legal fraternity.

The Lieutenant Governor listened to the issues and concerns raised by the delegations and assured appropriate consideration.
