The team was fully sponsored and deputed by the J&K Sports Council, which provided comprehensive logistical and institutional support, enabling the players to focus entirely on their on-field performance.

Congratulating the team, Yasha Mudgal, IAS, Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, said the achievement reflects the growing depth of sporting talent in Jammu and Kashmir. “Securing a podium finish at a national championship is a clear indicator that J&K teams are becoming increasingly competitive on the national stage, owing to sustained investment in athlete development,” she said.

Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, also lauded the players for their dedication and consistent effort. “The 3rd Runner-Up finish by our Senior Men’s Softball team is the result of focused training, commitment and the right competitive exposure. We remain committed to strengthening both grassroots and elite-level sports to ensure continued progress at national and international levels,” she said.

Congratulatory messages have poured in from various quarters, applauding the players and officials for their perseverance and team spirit. The bronze medal finish is being viewed as a stepping stone towards greater achievements for J&K softball on the national and international stage.

The team’s performance stands as a testament to the region’s rising sporting potential and underscores how determination, structured support and disciplined training can enable athletes from Jammu and Kashmir to excel at the highest level.
