Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar addressed a meeting of party functionaries in Jammu, reiterating the party’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of the people under the leadership of Omar Abdullah.

Sagar said the Omar Abdullah–led elected government is working with determination to provide sustained relief, administrative support, and a sense of stability to the people across Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasised that despite challenges inherited from years of uncertainty, the government has prioritised effective governance, public welfare, and equitable development.

Addressing senior workers, office-bearers, and block-level representatives, Sagar said that the government’s focus remains firmly on improving essential services, strengthening local institutions, and ensuring that public grievances are addressed on priority. He said that the administration is moving towards a more responsive, transparent, and people-friendly system, reflecting the party’s long-standing commitment to decentralisation and empowerment.

“Omar Sahib’s leadership has brought renewed direction and confidence to the administration. Our endeavour is to ensure that every household benefits from relief measures, development initiatives, and improved governance mechanisms,” Sagar said. He urged party functionaries to stay connected with the grassroots, identify issues faced by local communities and bring them promptly to the attention of the concerned authorities.

Sagar further stressed that National Conference workers must strengthen organisational unity and uphold the party’s legacy of service, sacrifice, and people-centric politics. He said the present government’s efforts in social welfare, infrastructural development, and administrative reforms are guided by the party’s core values and its commitment to safeguarding the dignity and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

He called upon all party cadres to work with renewed zeal and ensure that the benefits of government initiatives reach every corner of the region.
