Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the accused involved from Leh in Ladakh region.
Police said a Tavera vehicle (JK04C-1343) was reported stolen during the intervening night of 14th and 15th September, 2024.
Acting on specific information, police said it was learnt that the stolen vehicle was being used in Leh, UT of Ladakh, following which a team from Police Station Kunzer located the vehicle along with the accused person, identified as Kanchu Sheikh, son of Minhaj-ud-Din, resident of Gopal Para, Sector-19, Assam, who was driving the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered, and the accused apprehended on the spot. Both the vehicle and the accused have been brought back to Police Station Kunzer for further legal action, police said.
