4th National Lok Adalat: Chairman DLSA Sgr holds preparatory meetings

SRINAGAR: In view of the upcoming 4th National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on 13th December 2025, a series of preparatory meetings were convened over the past two days under the chairmanship of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar (Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Srinagar).

A detailed meeting was held in the Chamber of Chairman DLSA Srinagar, with the Learned Sub-Judges and Learned Munsiffs of the district on Tuesday.

The discussions focused on early identification of cases, coordination with line departments, timely issuance of notices, and streamlining the listing of matters for the upcoming Lok Adalat. The officers shared their valuable suggestions to ensure maximum settlement of cases.

The Chairman convened a follow-up meeting today, with the Learned Sessions Judges in the meeting hall of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar. The focus of today’s meeting was to review the progress of preparations, further refine the strategy for case management, and strengthen the mechanism for ensuring wide public awareness. The Learned Sessions Judges provided their insights on improving coordination, enhancing participation of litigants, and ensuring smooth functioning of the Lok Adalat benches.

The Chairman, DLSA Srinagar, directed the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Srinagar, to take all necessary steps for effective public outreach, timely logistical arrangements, and seamless organizational support. He emphasized that the 4th National Lok Adalat must be conducted in a litigant-friendly manner, ensuring that the benefits of accessible justice reach the maximum number of people.

The two-day deliberations concluded with a reaffirmation of collective commitment by all Judicial Officers to work in close coordination for the successful, efficient, and result-oriented conduct of the 4th National Lok Adalat.
