The village of Ladhoo Pampore in Pulwama, Kashmir, is preparing to host one of its most cherished spiritual events, the annual Urs of Alamdar-e-Kashmir, Sheikh ul Alam (RA),  from 25 to 27 November 2025. This sacred commemoration invites devotees to honour the life, teachings, and enduring legacy of one of Kashmir’s most revered Sufi saints, poets, mystics, and Islamic preachers.

Sheikh ul Alam’s profound influence remains deeply woven into the spiritual and cultural identity of Kashmir. His teachings, rooted in devotion, compassion, and mysticism, continue to illuminate the hearts of seekers across generations. Ladhoo bears a special significance in this divine journey, as the saint spent 12 spiritually transformative years in seclusion within a sacred cave here. The cave, revered by pilgrims, holds an extraordinary relic, a handprint engraved on stone, symbolising divine grace and the saint’s deep spiritual communion.

The Urs breathe a unique blend of devotion, tradition, and cultural harmony into the serene village. The celebrations will commence on the evening of 25 November, graced by sacred gatherings including Khatmat, Naat Khawani, and Manqabat etc, enveloping the atmosphere in spiritual luminosity. These soul-stirring rituals will continue through the Isha prayer on 28 November, offering profound moments of reflection and reverence.

Adding to the splendour is the Urs’s beautiful coincidence with the saffron harvest season, a time when Ladhoo’s fields glow with shades of gold and purple. This seasonal harmony enriches the celebration, blending spirituality with nature’s bounty and weaving a vibrant tapestry of cultural heritage.

Pilgrims and devotees from near and far gather not only to pay homage but to immerse themselves in the sanctified aura of Sheikh ul Alam’s teachings. The event fosters unity, spiritual renewal, and a heartfelt connection to Kashmir’s rich Sufi ethos.

The Shrine Administration Committee warmly invites all devotees to be part of this spiritually uplifting experience amidst the tranquil beauty of Ladhoo, a celebration of faith, heritage, and divine remembrance.
