A central highlight of the discussion was the plan to conduct micro-level workshops across the UT. These workshops are designed to create widespread awareness and facilitate on-ground implementation of government benefits. The Directorate of Skills and CII would collaborate to organise these awareness workshops, creating a direct channel to inform and empower the intended beneficiaries about these transformative projects and benefits.

The Director, Skills Development, provided a comprehensive overview of the Mission Yuva Portal, detailing its unique value proposition for all key stakeholders. He explained that for new aspirants, the portal serves as a gateway for skill training and entrepreneurship schemes, including access to government incentives and loans. From an employer’s perspective, it offers a streamlined platform to connect with a verified, skilled talent pool. For employees, the portal facilitates career advancement and lifelong learning by providing access to upskilling and reskilling opportunities, ensuring their competencies remain aligned with industry needs.

Speaking on the deliberations, Dr. M A Alim, Chairman, CII J&K UT Council, said, “Our collaboration with the Directorate of Skills is a testament to CII’s commitment to fostering a future-ready workforce in Jammu & Kashmir. The focus on micro-level workshops using digital platforms like the Uva App will ensure that government schemes reach the grassroots, truly empowering our youth with the means to build sustainable livelihoods.

Director, Skills Development, Jammu, emphasized, The partnership with CII is crucial for bridging the gap between industry and skill training. The micro-workshops will be a game-changer in making government benefits accessible to all.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in the public-private partnership for skill development in Jammu & Kashmir, setting a proactive agenda for collaborative action and tangible outcomes.
