GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) Pledge to participants in a ceremony held at the lawns of Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
The DC administered the oath to officers and officials from different departments housed in the Mini-Secretariat, who pledged to work against drug abuse.
Addressing the occasion, the DC said the problem of drug abuse has assumed a critical proportion which needs a holistic approach to combat its spread.
He said the district administration is committed to making Ganderbal a drug-free district through a multipronged approach involving awareness campaigns, strict enforcement of drug laws, and rehabilitation support.
The pledge ceremony was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, the Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, besides officers and officials of all departments.
