Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leaders have appealed to the people of Budgam to extend their wholehearted support to Aga Syed Mehmood in the forthcoming by-elections, stressing the need to strengthen the hands of those committed to peace, progress, and people’s welfare.

In a joint appeal, senior party leaders said that Budgam deserves leadership that upholds the values of development, stability, and inclusivity, qualities that have been the hallmark of Omar Abdullah’s government, known for its good governance, transparency, and welfare-oriented initiatives.

Party leaders, including MLAs Ahsan Pardesi, Hilal Akbar Lone, Peerzada Faroz and District President G.N. Bhat urged the electorate to reject divisive and opportunistic forces that, in the past, pushed the region into uncertainty and stagnation.

They called upon the people to rally behind the JKNC’s vision of a prosperous and secure Jammu and Kashmir.

Reaffirming confidence in Aga Syed Mehmood’s dedication, sincerity, and integrity, the leaders said his victory would further the party’s ongoing efforts to deliver accountable governance, equitable development, and dignity to every citizen of Budgam.

“The people of Budgam have always stood by truth and progress. This election is another opportunity to reaffirm that commitment by voting for Aga Syed Mehmood,” they said.
