Srinagar: Police in Shopian have arrested two drug peddlers in separate operations and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
At Marhenz Chowk, police arrested Zubair Ahmad Dar of Sunsamil Pulwama after his personal search yielded 500 grams of cannabis, a police spokesperson said.
At Zainapora Nagard Axis, police arrested Suhail Ahmad Dar of Wadina Zainapora and recovered 480 grams of cannabis-like substance from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for investigations.
