BANDIPORA, JULY 18: Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Division Bandipora today rebutted the news carried by a TV channel regarding engagement of 104 casual labours in the PHE Division.
“The factual position of the matter is that there are only 2 casual labours working in the Irrigation Sector of PHE Division Bandipora, besides, 42 seasonal coolies, engaged on need basis for 3 to 4 months period during a year,” a statement of the PHE Division said.
The bio-data of all these 2 casual labours and 42 seasonal coolies have been uploaded for online Aadhaar Based biometric information and skill profiling in the month of May 2017, the statement added.
“There was, however, a clerical mistake due to oversight which occurred while submitting of hard copies to the higher authorities, which was later rectified after following due process,” the statement said.
